My Halloween Yoda

Aunty Becca took Marcus Trick or Treating

Marc loves to wear his mittens and hat in the house...he's weird.

Carving pumpkins-Marc decided it was more fun to color

Playing with his alphabet books and "scoop" tractor (he named it after a tractor on Bob the Builder)

Marcus loves to crawl onto the couch, then slide off head first. He has no fear!

Chilling in front of the TV-probably watching "Bob the Builder" or "Clifford Puppy Days"

September 2009

Marc's 2 year pictures and family pictures

First Motor bike ride, Marc's response was, "more brrmm?" "Go daddy, more brrmm" Needless to say he enjoyed it.

Showing off his helmet for grandma and grandpa

Eating the yummy crayon birthday cake

Playing with one of his birthday presents-Play-dough, he can even tell you what color he wants to play with; red, green, blue or yellow.

Marc's pool party on September 4th, the kids were the only ones who were cool, it was a hot day! Perfect for a water party and bbq!

Playing with another present. Marc got books, music, a great big bug blanket, and so much more. He had a lot of fun and so did everyone who helped us celebrate!

August 2009

Marcus has quickly developed a love for Motor bikes and helmets. Here he is wearing Ian's helmet. We have since bought him his own and he loves to wear it. When ever he sees a motorbike helmet he points to his head and says "uppa uppa uppa" because he wants to wear it. He even points out "dada bike, mama bike, dada uppa, mama uppa" Uppa being helmet going up onto your head. It's pretty cute!!

This is what happens when Marc gets bored during nap time...diaper cream, head to toe. What a mess. Thankfully he didn't get very much on the floor in his room but he was sure covered!!

Playing with Lucas Peters at the park in Swift Current. Lucas is my best friends' son who is 1 week older than Marc. They had fun and were both drenched by lunch time.

We thought it would be fun to take the boys to the fire station for their birthday. They sure did love the big fire truck and Marc enjoyed "driving" the red truck. The boys even got fire hats of their own.

Playing with the cars and track Grandpa Isaak gave him for his birthday.

July 2009

These pictures are a long time in coming, my apologies summer kind of got away on me.

July 13, 2009 we gathered as a community and watched the final stages of the Sparrow Gardens Ice Rink demolition. It was really neat but bitter sweet too as this building has been a part of the community from the beginning. We now have a brand new rink to replace it; Barkman Arena.

Learning how to dunk Oreos in milk. This was a great lunch!!

Spending a great holiday with Grandpa Isaak. Here Marcus is wearing his Georgia shirt and Grandpa's boots. He was pretty proud of himself. He enjoyed being with his grandpa for a week!

We all enjoyed the "quads" while on holidays. Marcus's car seat strapped into the front seat and he came along for the ride. He even fell asleep on my lap the first time. He learned a new word that day "quad". He was very sad when we returned the quads the next day, he would have ridden in them all day every day if we would have let him. Like father, like son, like grandson!! :)

June 2009

Well, June has finally brought a little bit of spring weather, lots of sun and lots of rain.
Marcus loves to be outside, Some mornings he isn't even dressed and he is asking to go outside. He is a busy boy!

Playing in the park on a visit to see friends. This was Marc's first time on a full sized playground. He enjoyed it even though it was really cold that day!

After watching mommy wash off the car ramps Marcus had to try as well. Monkey see...Monkey do...

Ian teaching Marcus how to drink out of the hose. He thought this was a lot of fun, we finally had to turn the hose off so he wouldn't float away!

This is how suppers are prepared now. Marcus wants to be in the middle of the action so he gets to stand on the stool while I make supper. Often there ends up being a puddle on the floor and Marc is wet but we are all happier because supper is ready!

Marcus and his second cousin Jakob Isaak at Grandma Isaak's funeral in Saskatoon over Easter Weekend. They are 2 months apart in age. Marcus is much bigger!!

Marcus loves to play with Daddy's work keys on the weekends, We attach them to his belt loop and then Marc walks around the house trying to make the keys jingle. It is very entertaining to watch and Marc enjoys it too.

Marcus looking spiffy in a new shirt. (We're almost into size 4 shirts-he's growing so fast!)

Finally tall enough to ride the rocking horse from Great Grandma Schroeder. He got this horse at Christmas but hasn't been big enough until now. Now he loves to ride his horse and press the buttons that make galloping noises. This horse and rider have already ridden many miles together, good thing the horse doesn't tire out!!

Most mornings Marcus's first words are "go, go, out, out?" I have to convince him to eat breakfast and get dressed first. There have been several nice days where we have been outside ALL day (minus lunch and nap) I'm just glad we have a nice park close by and a decent yard for Marc to play in. We both have tan lines already!

That's all for now.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful spring!
Love Jenn, Ian and Marcus

Spring update

Marcus likes to find our gloves and mittens and wear them around the house.  He was very proud of himself, that he had daddy's mittens on!

Marcus fell in the living room and landed on the speaker with his eyebrow; he ended up with a nice black eye that lasted for a week and a half.  This is what he looked like the next morning...he was pretty purple!

Marcus loves wearing buckets on his head. Apparently he though he needed a helmet?

This is Marc's newest game.  He likes to race cars in the kitchen.  I have to put the cars in a line and then say, "ready, set"  Marcus replies with "GO, go, go" and then pushes his cars as far as he can.

Playing Horsey with Daddy can't be beat.

And then of course after horsey comes the tackling and tickling.  Mommy stays far away when they start this game.

Our poor little buddy was sick with Bronchial Pneumonia,  he had to be on a nebulizer machine 3x a day to help him breath.  He didn't like it very much but we managed to bribe him with movies.

Marcus loves to play with cameras, so we had fun just saying "cheese" and taking pictures.  He likes to look at the pictures after I take them.

Getting ready for a walk.  It is very muddy in Caronport and we have lots of puddles so I dressed Marc so he could get wet and have fun in the puddles and I wouldn't have to worry.  He had a blast.

Marcus is growing up so fast.  I had him measured at 18 months and he is 35 inches (1 inch away from 3 feet!) and 30 pounds.  He is definitely growing well and is heads taller than most children his age.  I recently started babysitting 2 children a couple of days a week.  It has given Marc someone to play with and he is learning to share his toys.  his little personality is really starting to show and he loves to copy whatever we do;  Yesterday morning I caught him eating chocolate cookies that he found.  He is so tall that he can reach most everywhere now.  I was in the bedroom getting ready and it got really quiet.  I went on a hunt and found Marcus with the dish of double chocolate cookies in his lap and 3 cookies with little nibbles out of them.  What can you do but laugh?!

We are enjoying the spring weather here and are looking forward to doing some much needed landscaping once the puddles dry up.  One more month and Ian will have been working for the school for a year.  We can hardly believe how fast the time goes.

Hope you enjoy these snapshots into our life.  Marcus keeps us busy and we never know what he'll get into next but we enjoy him a lot.

Take Care, God Bless
Love Jenn (for Ian and Marcus)
